A BIT ABOUT ME

Jayd started her riding career at the age of 8, by working off her lessons with her mother doing chores at a local stable and her passion for horses grew into a lifestyle. As a young child she evented with a small Arab pony, and later became interested in starting and retraining horses. Her preteen years were spent at the barn, riding any horse she could get her hands on and schooling broodmares after they had weaned their foals. This passion grew to training multiple different horses over the years, and lead her to where she is today.

Jayd attended the University of New Hampshire where she acquired her Associates Degree in Animal Science, and her Bachelors degree in Equine Industry and Management. After College, Jayd and her husband relocated to Vermont, where she truly indulged into the dressage discipline.

Jayd grew her education extensively in dressage after purchasing an older schoolmaster, and started working with a prodigy of Carol Lavell (USA Dressage Olympian), Andrea (Ande) White. Ande mentored and trained Jayd for 6 short years, before she passed away in 2023 from leukemia. Ande was a huge part of who Jayd is today as a rider, businesswoman, and friend.

Jayd takes her education gained from Ande and carries it through to her students. She is known for her meticulous, precise, and effective perspective on teaching, and does not believe in taking short cuts. Her passion extends to the caring and well-being of any and all horses she has under her name.
